Bayern Munich thrash Dinamo Zagreb, extend Bundesliga lead as Harry Kane shines for Tottenham

FC Bayern Munich produced yet another imperious display on Wednesday evening, thrashing GNK Dinamo Zagreb 5-0 at the Allianz Arena to extend their lead atop the Bundesliga standings to four points.

Alphonso Davies broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, and Robert Lewandowski doubled the lead just seven minutes later with his 15th goal of the season.

Serge Gnabry added a third before half-time, and Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane struck in the second half to complete the rout.

The victory takes Bayern to 37 points from 15 games, four clear of Borussia Dortmund, who drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Harry Kane scored his 100th Premier League goal for Tottenham Hotspur as they beat Leeds United 4-0 at Elland Road.

The England captain opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a close-range header, and Heung-min Son doubled the lead just after the hour mark.

Lucas Moura added a third for Spurs, and Kane completed the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the 85th minute.

The win takes Tottenham up to fifth in the Premier League table, just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, and gives them a major boost ahead of their crucial match against Liverpool on Sunday.

In other news, Manchester City dropped points in the Premier League title race as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at the Etihad Stadium.

Aymeric Laporte gave City the lead in the 65th minute, but James Ward-Prowse equalized for Southampton with a superb free-kick just seven minutes later.

The draw leaves City eight points behind leaders Arsenal, who have played one game more.
