Spanische Fussball Liga Oberschenkelverletzung Olmo Fehlt Flick In Barcelona Laenger

Spanish Football League: Thigh Injury: Olmo Out Longer in Barcelona for Flick

Dani Olmo Suffers a Thigh Injury and Will Be Out Longer Than Expected

Dani Olmo, the Spanish international and RB Leipzig midfielder, has suffered a thigh injury that will keep him out of action for longer than initially expected. The injury occurred during Leipzig's 3-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, and the club has now announced that Olmo will be sidelined for several weeks.

Olmo to Miss Key Games for Leipzig and Spain

Olmo's injury is a significant blow for Leipzig, who are currently in a tight race for the Bundesliga title. The 24-year-old has been in excellent form this season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists in 23 league appearances.

Olmo's injury is also a blow for Spain, who are due to face Switzerland and Portugal in the UEFA Nations League in June. The midfielder is a key player for Spain and his absence would be a major setback.

Flick Disappointed With Olmo's Injury

Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann expressed his disappointment at Olmo's injury, saying: "It's a big blow for us. Dani is a very important player for us and he will be difficult to replace."

Spain coach Luis Enrique also expressed his disappointment, saying: "Dani is a very talented player and we will miss him in the Nations League. I wish him a speedy recovery."

Olmo Determined to Return as Soon as Possible

Olmo is now focused on recovering from his injury as soon as possible. The midfielder has already started his rehabilitation and is determined to return to action as soon as he can.

Olmo said: "I'm obviously disappointed to be injured but I'm determined to come back stronger. I'll be working hard in my rehab and I'm confident that I'll be back on the pitch soon."
